If you perform well as a Consultant, or are taken on as an experienced hire with the appropriate background and skills set, you will be made a Manager. As such, you will be one of those forming the very core of the firm, taking prime responsibility for delivering on projects and for the teams that deliver them.

As a day-to-day client-leader, it is arguably your single most important responsibility to develop strong, professional client relations. It is crucial that clients regard you as their trusted adviser. At the same time, OC&C Partners will be putting their trust in you as a project delivery expert, and will seek your full support in pursuing their commercial goals. Your team members, meanwhile, will view you as their prime source of professional and personal guidance.  Being a Manager is a tall order.
Managers still work with a wide range of clients, typically at senior levels, on top management level issues. Such clients will regard you as a thought leader:  you will need to be a well-rounded, experienced consultant first; a manager in the conventional sense only second.

At the Manager level we will be looking to capitalise on your particular strengths, both functionally and in your specialist sector(s), and will give you all the support you need to deliver to the maximum possible extent. You will steadily build your own senior profile of excellence, while drawing on the full breadth and depth of our generalist consulting practice.

Becoming a fully-fledged Manager typically takes two to three years of both practical, hands-on experience and extensive formal learning. An international training programme will help you develop a variety of advanced leadership skills; a programme that will be supplemented by a second, highly personalised programme of training, tailored to your particular capabilities and needs, both internal and with the help of appropriate external specialists.
