We are often asked what criteria are used to judge CVs and in considering applications.  The answer is that we look for a combination of very strong academics (from any discipline), and broad and intense extra-curricular activities. Also, we look favourably on language skills, previous relevant work experience and the quality of your CV/covering letter.

For experienced hires or MBAs we give weight to the skills you have developed throughout your career and your achievements at work.

With that in mind:
Keep your CV/resume to a maximum of two sides of paper; this makes it easier for us to see what you’ve achieved.

  • Tell us your academic results (including degree predicted/achieved result) and highlight any college or university prizes or special academic achievements.

  • Extra-curricular activities and work experience (full-, part-time and internships) are equally important to us, so make sure you tell us about any positions of responsibility or particular achievements.

Keep your cover letter brief, but do tell us why you are interested in strategy consulting, why you want to work at OC&C, and highlight the major reasons why we should choose you.

Finally, submit your CV / resume and cover letter to the office to in which you are applying and make sure you apply on time!
