Non-brand-related online activities of publishing houses and TV-transmitters

For the third consecutive year, OC&C Strategy Consultants has analyzed the online activities of major German publishers and private TV broadcasters.

The survey reveals a noticeable “cool down” of activities in the digital sphere for the companies covered, due both to the advertising market crisis and a perceived lack of attractive investment opportunities. At the same time, there are no signs that a major portfolio restructuring will take place in the near future. However, companies drive organizational changes such as closer cooperation of the individual investments within the digital portfolio as well as with the core businesses; purely financially motivated acquisitions are being separated.
